Extra! Extra!

Switchblade Kittens and Meg Cabot wrote a book together. Well not so much wrote a book together as much as they shared ideas that eventually became a book that they read together. Alright well, it was none of that but Meg Cabot does mention Switchblade Kittens in her book Princess in Pink! It’s true! Look it up! Page 235 of the hard back version. :p

Meg Cabot as a child spent most of her time in the public library in an effort to secure free air conditioning. She spent most of her time reading, resulting in her chosen profession of book author. Meg started out writing romance novels with her lovely and talented muse, Henrietta, a one-eyed kitten. Later as Henrietta became a cat, Meg created popular series books for young adults such as 1-800-WHERE-R-YOU, All-American Girl, and of course (Drama’s favourite) The Princess Diaries.

The Princess Diaries is a book series about Mia Thermopolis, an ordinary girl who discovers that she is a reluctant princess of a small country in Europe. Surprise! The series currently has 5 books and the 5th book, Princess in Pink, mentions Switchblade Kittens on page 235 (this bears repeating). The Princess Diaries series has been made into 2 successful movies for Disney starring Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews.

Switchblade Kittens loves Meg Cabot so much we decided to make our 3rd CD about Meg Cabot books. The CD will cover books from The Princess Diaries to The Mediator Series (and some of the adult books too). The CD will be called "Rebel Princess" and Switchblade Kittens is currently recording tracks for this CD.

Anyway, Mia Thermopolis rocks!
