What I am into right now:
1. TV: the Olmpics are coming... the olympics are coming...
2. Movie: Kit Kittredge: All American Girl ( I saw this movie with my Gran!)
3. Internet: The Uncommon Book store on ebay

or at Amazon

4. Book: Meg Cabot 24/7 cause I am writing a CD about her books

So I finally bought a house! The rampant foreclosures in California may have been tragic for some but for those of us who could not afford a house before (namely me) NOW at the foreclosure discount I was able to buy one. No longer is the band cramped into one room, now we each have our own room. Also the neighborhood was about to come to the door with pitchforks and fire to oust the band that rehearsed too loud at night in our new house we have a garage that we are soundproofing to rehearse in and we hoping that will pacify the villagers. So after an agonizing move that took nearly a week, we moved of ALL the equipment and someone's two walk-in wardrobe's full of pink clothes (namely me) we settled into our new home dubbed, Mews Manor. The name Kitty Litter is now reserved for the tour van only :) Although I was utterly knackered, I decided to have a house warming party. Most of my mates were on tour (because it is summer) and my flooring is being ripped up as we speak so actually NO ONE could visit the house. I decided to party externally, I decided to join the two newest things in my life my new house, and the new Mamma Mia! movie.

IKEA Furniture store was hosting a premiere screening of Mamma Mia! BUT in order to get tickets you had to sing an ABBA song karaoke in front of the IKEA shoppers. So naturally I dressed in a wedding dress and then I kitted out Pep in a tuxedo t-shirt. We arrived as bride and groom and sang the song Mamma Mia acapella because the karaoke machine was broken. I sang as loud as I could while trying not to step on my wedding dress which was given to me by my 6 foot tall cousin. I am 5 feet tall and considerably bustier than my cousin so on top of falling over the extra long train; the dress was not zipped all the way so I was in precarious danger of a wardrobe malfunction. Pep was hilarious as he disco danced like John Travolta across the stage. The IKEA shoppers stopped and laughed at Pep and I. The host of the event was so pleased instead of 2 tickets he awarded us 8 tickets to the premiere screening of the Mamma Mia! movie. Here is Pep and I as bride and groom. This is the closest my mum is every going to get to a wedding for me so I saved a picture :)

So I decided to have my house warming party be at Mamma Mia. The Kittens and some mates went to the screening of the movie and it was fantastic! Meryl Streep acted her bottom off and I wouldn't be surprised if she was nominated for an Oscar. I think in these troubled times we could all use a laugh, and Mamma Mia! was rofl. AND we saw the movie before anyone else. After the movie we walked around Universal City Walk and watched the sky jumpers. Basically, controlled sky diving. Then we had ice cream cornets. So with bellies aching from too much sugar and too much laughing we ended the night.

Some of you fabulous people have asked where you could send us a house warming gift. You TOTALLY do not have to but if you must the new address is:

Switchblade Kittens
1746F South Victoria Ave
Suite 394
Ventura, CA 93003

Now I must go act house-proud, but for the time being Pardon our dust :)
